Lino it Online Stickies

There is no doubt about it, I am a sticky note addict. I cannot function effectively without them. Therefore, when I came across this website I fell in love!

I’m sure some of you have already checked out this website, but it is new to me this week, and I’m really thrilled with it! Some of you may also have heard of wallwisher. Wallwisher is a nice site, but I personally would prefer Basically, this is a place that you set up for students (or colleagues) to visit and post ideas.

How to use LinoIt in the Classroom:

  •  To work with words—teaching vocabulary, word sorts, or categorizing
  •  As a classroom bulletin board—putting up assignments, class announcements, links that are of interest, pictures from class trips
  • As a virtual word wall—putting up the words for content area chapters and allowing students to add meanings, pictures,or videos to add meaning to words.
  •  As a unit or literacy discussion area
  • Can be used by individual students to organize a story they are writing. It is a visual way of organizing your thoughts before you write.

I think it is best for collaboration and brainstorming ideas, such as where should we go this year on our class trips. Students can post their thoughts and ideas for an assignment they are working on as a small group. The possibilities are endless.
I hope you will check it out and let me know how you are using Online Stickies!
