Are You in the KNOVIO?

This tool has only been out for a short time and it is getting rave reviews from educators. Knovio is is a free tool for turning PowerPoint slides into rich video presentations right from your web browser. All you need is  a webcam and microphone, you will be amazed how easy it is.  The first step is to create an account. Yes, this is a free account. Next you will be asked to upload your PowerPoint. Once that is complete you can begin to record your video. Third and last step is to share this with your students. I can see so many ways to utilize this in my technology classroom. The first use is just creating lessons for your students to watch. This can work well when you are at a conference for the day, you may not be there in person, but you will still be teaching the lesson. What about the student who is absent, a video would allow the student to listen and view your lesson either in the class or online from their home. This is also great for students who are learning English, this can be a fun way to get them to practice their English. Another use is to create a video for parents and students as a way of introducing yourself and your classroom. The possibilities are endless.  I am sure your students will find many excuses to use Knovio.
Let me know if you have used Knovio and we can add some ways my student teachers can use this tool with their classes.
